Shifting my armies - Big battle coming

I have been feeling strongly lately that I am supposed to share this word now. In a conversation with God back on October 16th, 2009 - I was asking Him about certain prophetic words that had been coming out about attacks on the US. This is what I feel He told me to write down . . .

Hear me on this Lori. There IS coming a day that will be painful – not only for the United States, but other nations as well. This is not about the U.S., or about the other nations. It’s about me.

There is a war going on that you cannot see, that has been escalating for years now. It is getting bigger and stronger. Know that I will win in the end, but also know that this war will carry over onto the earth. It will be felt in many ways and in many places.

Those that are watching will see what is going on and will be able to pray, will be able to stay safe. Those that are not watching or that choose to look the other way, will be affected. Keep watching Lori. Keep waiting. Keep praying.

I am shifting things in the heavens. I am shifting my armies to fight this battle in a more strategic way. But this shifting will be felt. It may feel like it leaves gaps in some areas. But those areas will wither away. The enemies left behind will leave and move on to join the larger battle at hand. Those battles are not what I want to focus on anymore. They are not “worth it” in a sense. There is a bigger battle coming, and I am positioning my troops in preparation for this battle to arrive. It is not here yet. It will be soon. Very soon.

But keep watching. Keep praying. Keep warring with me in this heavenly battle as I need your help. I need everyone’s help – everyone to pray. This is a battle that will affect EVERYONE – and so I need EVERYONE to pray. It’s not about the U.S. It’s not about other nations. It’s about me and it’s about the battle to come.

I will protect the U.S. from many attacks and many things that are to come – IF my people pray. I do not like to see my children suffer – so I will protect them. But I need the prayers. I need people to watch. I need to be able to tell people how to pray, when to pray, where to pray, how to fight and win this battle. There will be casualties. There will be fatalities. There will be wounds and amputations. BUT . . . we will be victorious! But I need your help!

Keep your eyes and ears open. Ask God to show you what's going on - how to pray . . . and GET READY for the battle to come! As God said to me a couple years ago - it is more dangerous to stay behind than to join in His army to fight the battles ahead. If you stay behind - you are unprotected. The army has left town. . . . . .

Pray deeper today. Get ready!

Prayer for the nation - and LOVE!

Please listen and pray along for our nation! God loves us - and wants us to return to Him - to be the bride He has created us to be. He wants to hold us close - to let us not just "know" that His heart beats for us - to just "know" that He loves us ("Jesus loves me this I know - for the Bible tells me so") . . . . but He wants us to FEEL His love for us - to FEEL His heart beating for us.

Our hearts are the source of our lives. If our heart were to stop beating - we would die. When we die - we are separated from those still left here on earth -from relationships here.

God's heart (His love) is the source of life for each and every one of us. It is the source of His relationship with us. If His heart (love) stopped beating . . . . the relationship would die. Many people have thought they felt this (to a degree). They do not "feel" or have not "felt" God's heart beating for them. They have all the head knowledge about God - about His love for them - about what He has done for them . . . . but they've never ventured close enough to let God (their heavenly Daddy) HOLD them close . . .hold them close to His chest to FEEL His love for them - to hear and feel His heart beating . . . . just for them. However - His heart has never stopped beating for them. Not yet.

God doesn't need to have a heart to live. He is eternal. He is all-powerful. He doesn't need a heart to live . . . . but He chose to have a heart . . . He chose to love . . . . He chose to let His Son (Jesus) experience what it is like to have a human heart . . . and then to let that human heart die through the choice of sacrificing himself on the cross. Jesus' heart stopped beating. He died. For us. He endured the physical and spiritual separation that comes with death - that comes when a heart stops beating. He did that for us . . . . because He doesn't want us to have to endure it for eternity ourselves! . . . . . and then in His marvelous power . . . He came back to life! He overcame death . . . for us! Once and for all!!

There will come a day when people will no longer have the option of being able to feel God's heart beating for them. There will come a day when His arms will no longer be open - inviting anyone and everyone to come close - to be held by Him - to experience His love - His transforming love. That day is coming soon. God wants you to know - that day is coming soon. For some of you - it's sooner than for others. But for the whole world - it is still coming soon.

His heart's cry is for everyone to know that He is here . . . waiting . . . waiting to hold you and love you - to let you hear and feel His heart beating - to feel His transforming love that will forever change your life . . . if you let Him . . . if you let Him hold you . . . If you choose to stay close to Him - aware of Him - in relationship with Him. . . . .Not just to know "about Him".

I could know all about my husband - where he grew up, what he likes, dislikes, if he's a Republican or Democrat, if he is a morning or night person, how he treats others, etc. But unless I CHOOSE to enter into a relationship with him - a personal, close, intimate, hear-and-feel-his-heart kind of relationship . . . .I will never fully KNOW (through experience) his love - especially his love for me!

THAT is what God wants for everyone. To show them His love - experientially! He's shown it in so many ways . . . and yet we keep asking for more "proof". There comes a point when you just have to make a decision - when you have to choose. . . .

Choose to believe. Choose to get closer to our perfect heavenly Daddy today. His arms are still open . . . . wide open! It doesn't matter what you've done lately (or in the past). He's not afraid of getting dirty! :) The messier the better! :) He just loves holding His kids and loving on them!

As the Beatles put it - "All we need is Love, Love. . . . Love is ALL we need!" :)

Go closer (and deeper) today!

Fast & Pray for our Nation, Muslims & the President

You may already be aware, but just in case you were not - I wanted to pass on this info.

My heart has been heavy for the past couple days after hearing about this. I can feel the urgency to pray. I can't sit silent.

On Friday 9/25/09 Muslims will converge on Washington DC's mall for a national day of prayer. Please pray about this. Please read what Lou Engle, Shirley Dobson, Tony Perkins and others had to say on Lou's website - The Call. Hearing what President Obama has done (in staying silent for the National Day of prayer, but being very vocal and encouraging about Ramadan) just grieves my heart. He is on my heart and in my prayers as well . . . alot.

"The Call" had a national conference call for prayer for this nation and for Muslims tonight - from 7-9:30pm. If you missed it - they will replay it at 11am on Friday morning. You can hear it on the National Day of Prayer website.

If you can - PLEASE fast and pray tomorrow (Friday) - for our nation - for all Muslims - for our President.

When the clock strikes midnight on Dec. 31, 2009, Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) hopes you’ll be ringing in “the Year of the Bible.”

This article just makes me want to cry! I am grieving over our country today! Christianity on the decline? Atheism on the rise? . . . and we want to focus on healthcare issues instead of what's really important?? What's wrong with people?? Especially those that call themselves Christians??

Our lawmakers and leaders (including some "Christians") want to focus on the "blooms" and "flowers" that are dying - trying to keep them alive - but what they really need to focus on is the "roots" of the plant/tree. If the roots are unhealthy - then it doesn't matter how much you tend to the flowers - they will die!

I am proud of Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) for trying to get our country to focus back on it's roots! This country needs to go back to is "roots" - God and the Bible - and go back to ruling and running this country based on God's principles as it used to! That is how we will see true change!

2 Chronicles 7:14 - "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Come back to God, AMERICA . . . come back to God, Christians!! - and He will heal our land!! Wouldn't that be awesome?!

I encourage you to let your Rep's know that you support this resolution and encourage them to do the same. It may seem trival . . . but it's not! God loves to use the simple to confound the wise!

Pray for our nation and it's leaders today!! Pray for the church to wake up and go back to it's roots as well . . . God, the Bible, and all that God promises (and commands) us!

Prayer Warriors . . . are YOU one?!

I just HAD to reprint this!! It was sent to me in an email from Elijah List. (Just to let you know . . . Their website (and emails) are a bit of a sensory overload (with ads and info) - and I don't necessarily agree with their marketing techniques (ie - all the sales ads I get via email) - but many of the words of encouragement, prophecy, etc have really been timely in my life. I encourage you to check it out.)

This is at the heart and core of who I am and what I have been trying to tell many of my friends and family!

It's full of so much that God has been teaching me lately about prayer and the authority I have as a child of the Almighty and All-powerful God!

In fact - recently when God was showing me something about my future ministry - I argued with Him - "But God, I don't have that kind of authority". His response . . . "You're right. YOU don't have that authority . . . but I DO. I will speak through you." :)

Isn't awesome to know that it's not about US - about how strong WE are (or feel that we are), how much power WE have, etc . . . but it's about GOD and HIS authority and power and what He has given to us!

We have been lied to for TOO LONG by the enemy . . . crippling us into thinking that we cannot tap into that power - that we can't be a conduit for TRUE power . . . that, at best, we can just "hope" that our prayers will work.

Well STOP "HOPING" . . . . and START PRAYING with POWER!

You too can be a powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving, healing-releasing Prayer Warrior!!

I dare you to take hold of your rightful position and authority as a child of the KING today!!

"Prayer Warriors Are the Most Frightening, Powerful, Demon-Chasing, World-Moving Beings on Earth"

In our rapidly changing times people are desperate to know the future. Barely do we adjust to the last changes, when totally new realities explode into our world.

In answer to the common fears spawned by change, society has seen a plethora of occult and demonic sources—fortunetellers, astrologers and psychic hotlines—all pretending to be able to peek into the mystery of tomorrow. Indeed, how many otherwise intelligent individuals glimpse, at least occasionally, at their "astrological signs" trying to get an edge on knowing the future!

Why anyone would consult someone who can't predict their own future is beyond me. These fortunetellers almost always live in abject poverty. Shouldn't their ability to predict the future at least work for themselves? They could invest in the stock market or pick the right lottery numbers. They can't even predict or better their own fortune, yet people go to them for discernment.

Tremendous Power In a Christian!

For Christians, God condemns this demonic, fleshly probing into the unknown. Indeed, as intercessors, He has called us not to wonder about the future, but to create it through the knowledge of His Living Word and prayer! Our Father gives us access to the future right now. You ask, How do we know what to pray? The Lord Jesus told us plainly,

"Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Matthew 6:9-10

We can look at the conditions of the world and faint or look at the possibilities of God and take faith. To bring revival is to pray for the reality of God's Kingdom to manifest on earth. Jesus was not offering His disciples a millennial prayer focus, for that rule of God's Kingdom is coming whether we want it to or not! No, but Christ calls us to pray for God's Kingdom to manifest in our world today.

How will tomorrow look if God answers the prayer Christ gave us? Read the Gospels. What we see in the life and power of Jesus Christ is a faith picture of God's Kingdom. Jesus said that we can have that same full manifestation. In fact, He actually commanded us to pray for Heaven's release!

The Prayer Womb

The reality God has planned will always manifest first in the prayer life of His intercessors. When you hear from God and then pray His Word, you are impacting the unformed essence of life with the Spirit of God Himself! Thus, God calls us, not only to know His Word, but to pray it. We must go from intellectualizing God's Word to being impregnated by it.

I know churches have special areas where intercessors can pray or people meditate. But maybe we ought to change the name from "prayer room" to "prayer womb." For everything good and holy that we see manifested in people, in churches and in life is first conceived, and then birthed, in the womb of prayer.

We have answers to prayer all around us. The place you are living in is an answer to prayer. Your church is an answer to prayer, as well as are your pastors, teachers and youth workers. As a church member, your attendance and participation is an answer to the prayer of your pastors and intercessors. When you asked God to lead you to the church you should attend, your current church became God's answer to your prayer!

Paul wrote, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might" (Ephesians 1:18-19).

If you are a Christian, there is a power accompanying your life that is greater than great—the "surpassing greatness of His power." It is not human power, but the actual "strength of His might."

Think About It: The Strength of God Almighty is Attached to Your Prayer Life!

The power of God's might is His resurrection power. What does resurrection mean? It means that things which look dead, smell dead, and act dead, can be touched by God and raised to life!

God demonstrated this "power toward us who believe" first "in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly places" (Ephesians 1:19-20).

Right now, you have resurrection power attached to your prayer life! You can look on things that are absolutely dead and pray forth eternal LIFE! The power in us is the same potency God demonstrated when He raised Jesus out of the grave; it is resurrection power. Our mission is to bring resurrection life to situations that are dead.

If the devil challenges your prayer, remind him that you are seated with Christ, "far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come" (Ephesians 1:21). Christ's authority is final. But not only has the Father put "all things in subjection under His feet," but He "gave Him as head over all things to the Church, which is His Body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:22-23).

Notice the Lord uses anatomical metaphors to explain the downlink of authority: Christ is the "Head" of a "Body" that has all things put under its "feet."

This is a most profound understanding of our role: What the Head, Christ, has attained, the feet of the Church walk out. In other words, God has positioned the Church as the living bridge between the terrible conditions on earth and the wonderful solutions from Heaven!

As we truly, passionately, and accurately submit to Christ in prayer, the Kingdom of Heaven steadily enters our now prayed-for world. The key of course, is to know Christ's Word. We do not have authority; Christ has authority. What we have is revelation and submission. But as we submit to the Word, and persevere in prayer, we can see the future conformed to God's will.

Prayer Warriors Are Positioned By God

Jesus told a parable to show that men ought to pray at all times and not lose heart (see Luke 18:1-8). In other words, if you are not praying, you will lose heart. Most of the things I pray for I have to persevere and pray through to get the answer. God desires to see something deeper come out of my prayer time than just answered prayers. He wants me to become like Jesus, so He arranges battles that are character-forming. Not only will they ultimately change the world around me, but they'll change me first. This is what all true prayer warriors have discovered.

When we picture a prayer warrior, we usually see a great-aunt or grandmother. I think that every family has one. You never find them looking into a crystal ball to know the future for little Johnny—they are at the throne of God creating Johnny's future in prayer. They are not wondering if Mary is going to make it; they are praying her through to victory. They do not have time to lament Harry's drinking problem; they are storming Heaven to see him delivered.

Prayer warriors are the most frightening, powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving beings on earth. In truth, they act like children of God! If they were to gaze at a crystal ball, it would explode! They look at astrological predictions and rebuke them. They never wonder about the future because they are too busy creating it through their faith in God.

Prayer warriors are positioned by God to pray for their families. I remember when my Dad came to the Lord. For ten years we would intellectually clash about God during our visits. Finally, on one trip he arrived at our home "armed" with an argument against God. He said, "If there really is a God, why doesn't He always answer prayer?" He was secure in his position, and I was tired of the argument. I went into another room for a few minutes and prayed, "Lord, You've got to give me an answer."

When I returned I could see my Dad felt he won this round. I love my dad very, very much, but I said, "Dad, forget all the people that you think didn't get answers to prayer—you yourself are an answer to prayer! You are alive today because our entire family daily prays for you." (He was very overweight and smoked a pack of cigarettes daily). Then I continued, "But let's experiment. You say God doesn't answer prayer; we say He does. So, for one week we won't pray for you, and we'll see what happens."

I can't remember ever seeing my dad turn so pale. He looked over at my Mom and said, "Hon, tell the boy not to do that." Then, with beads of sweat forming on his forehead, he said to me, "Okay. What do I have to do to keep you praying for me?"

In three minutes, he went from not believing in prayer to begging us to keep praying for him. I said, "Dad, the only way I'll keep praying for you is if you pray right now and give your life to Christ," and my dad at that moment received Christ. The Lord answered my prayer.

Prayer anchors us in God's strength for our battles. Each of us knows prayer works: we are saved because someone else prayed for us! Thus, looking at the miracle of our own conversion, we gain confidence in God's help to transform others.

You Are a Prayer Warrior!

Luke 21:36 tells us to be "praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." Every time the Bible talks about standing before God, it is speaking of a position of anointed authority and commissioning. Elijah stood before God as did Gabriel. It speaks of one who stands before God as an attendant to the Almighty. When they decree God's Word, it comes to pass.

Jesus said, "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). Under that banner, we pray and believe God. The Holy Spirit ever lives to make intercession. All we need to do is open our hearts to Him and prayer is going to come forth.

Look at the terrible issues of our world right now. Every need we see is where God wants us to release, through prayer, His future for that situation. God shows us what is wrong so we can pray for things to be made right. Why waste energy criticizing what's wrong when our prayers can change it!

The Lord our God in the midst of us is mighty. Our weapons are mighty to pulling down strongholds. Stop thinking of yourself as unable to pray. That's a lie out of hell. You are a prayer warrior!

There was a time when that great aunt or grandmother was a younger woman. She might have been just like you, and God showed her the needs around her. His grace came and she made a decision not to judge, but to pray. She didn't start off strong, but she became strong. Now it's your turn to make that decision to be the prayer warrior for your family, church or city!"

Let's pray: Lord Jesus, You said that the armies in Heaven follow You, and Your name is called "the Word of God." Help me to not only believe Your Word, but pray it in the power of the Holy Spirit! I accept that You have called me to be a prayer warrior. By Your grace, I receive a new anointing in intercession. Amen!

Prayer Alert for America

Just wanted to pass on this prayer alert video from Cindy Jacobs at Generals International. She is sharing more about Obama's new policies and agendas. I briefly mentioned these in a previous post (Raise up and army).

Cindy has more to say on her website (and in an email I received). I won't paste it all here - but PLEASE go to their website here to read more! These are serious issues that should be of great concern for us as Christians! Please take the time to educate yourself and make a commitment to pray for our leaders and our nation!

America, President Obama and our leaders need all the prayers we can offer up!! If you have never prayed for our country or it's leaders before - now is the time to start!

Raise up an Army!

I received an email yesterday from Mike and Cindy Jacobs (that I will post below). After reading it and then hearing more news today about the executive order that Obama signed today (purposely on the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade), I just cried and my heart became heavy for this nation (again). It just hurts. (Here's another article on the executive order and other plans)

I spent the morning praying for Obama, our leaders, Washington DC and our nation. First of all - here is the email from the Jacobs and their ministry at www.generals.org.

Dear Intercessors,

Yesterday we had a transition in our government. I rejoiced to see the first African American president. I loved the unique love displayed across what has been a massive racial divide.

Today, I thought that I would check and see what the new government policies would be for the White House. I went on the official www.whitehouse.gov website and looked at the sections on Civil Rights and Family and was absolutely shocked and grieved at what was posted.

Here are just a few of the points:

1. Support for the LGBT Community (lesbian/gay/bi-sexual/transvgender)
2. Expanded hate crimes bills. These are the type of bills that stop all "hate
speech", such as pastors preaching against homosexuality from their pulpits.
3. Support of Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples
4. Opposition to a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage
5. Repeal "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" policies in the military
6. Expand adoption rights for same sex-same couples
7. Expand Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research
8. Opposition any Constitutional to overturn Roe v. Wade
9. Increased funding for abortions

For this reason, we are calling upon intercessors every where to make your way to Dallas, Texas, April 16-18, 2009 to Raise Up An Army to fight for righteousness in our land.

We are in desperate times and the hour is late to work to save the nation. We must be informed and know both how to pray as well as mobilize our concerted voice for biblical values.

This is what I sensed the Lord saying to me during my prayer time this morning.

Picture - A wall around D.C. (representing our nation). Something inside is slowly eating up/destroying everything within the walled city (like an infection that kills you from the inside out, or a bug infestation, etc). It was leaving the city empty - with nothing to support the walls from crumbling in on itself.

The Lord said - "Let me fill it - with myself -my presence." It will fill it up completely and support the walls from the inside. But He needed access into it - a hole in the wall - like a hole into a balloon or something - to be able to pour a liquid in that would expand and put positive pressure from the inside - supporting the outside structure from collapsing. We are to create that hole for Him.

How do we do this Lord?

"Pray. Speak the truth. Fight. Love."

What's going to happen to our nation? What are you going to do?

" Watch and see. I am stirring up something new".

"It is cooking now and not quite ready to come out of the pot - but when it does - it will explode out and cover everywhere - it will go far. There is something hiding in the pot as well - something you don't normally find in soup. But I have hidden it there because I didn't want anyone to find and see it yet. I will pull it out and show you and others who are watching me stir the pot, but will put it back in till the soup is ready. When the soup explodes out of the pot - the item in the pot will remain and then grow and expand to fill the pot with something new - not soup - it is something no one has seen before or would expect to be in the pot. It is a new food with an unusual taste. Compared to what it look like (I see an off-white-yellowish substance - kind of firm, but moldable - smooth, yet rubbery, but can be cut into like soft butter, but stronger than butter) -the taste is indescribable - like nothing anyone has tasted before! Those that are near the pot when it explodes will be able to taste it first. They will then be able to take and pass some to those near them and it will continue to be passed on till more and more people want to come to the pot themselves.

So, watch and wait. I am stirring - but watch and wait for me to show what I have hidden. It will give everyone hope - especially when they see and feel the soup explode. Most will be afraid - but those who know about the secret "ingredient" will be excited - because something better is coming!!"

"We've never seen anything like this in our lifetime!"

I heard it out of Oprah's mouth today on CNN as she was interviewed after Obama's victory speech. Instantly I was reminded of the scripture God had led me to when I was praying on Wall Street almost a month ago:

Joel 1:2 - "Hear this, you elders; listen all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?"
(This was said about "the invasion of locusts". Read my post about Wall Street to see more scriptures.)

I wanted to cry last night.

I've had a knot in my stomach ever since 11pm last night.

I get nauseous just thinking about what the next 4 years will entail.

My heart aches . . . no . . . it grieves . . . for all the unborn that will lose their voice even more so these next 4 years.

However . . . I realize that this fear, worry and dread - is not where the Lord wants me to be. He has already told us, time and time again, to trust HIM . . . to let HIM take care of things (financially, politically, etc), and that in the end - we will be amazed!! :)

So - my next respose last night was "Lord - thank you that putting a black man in the presidential office may actually help to bring racial reconciliation to this land to a greater degree". I am also going to be on a mission to pray for Mr. Obama's salvation . . . and if he really is saved . . . to pray that the Holy Spirit falls upon him and convicts him to follow God's will, plan and desires for ALL of mankind - including the unborn! But above all - I am going to pray that GOD's Will will be done these next 4 years!

I tried to watch Kim Clement's live show (about what God had been showing him about the elections) on the night before the election, but they were having trouble with their webcast (too many people trying to watch!). I was watching it today, and was was encouraged and reminded of what God has been saying. That even though the outcome of the election wasn't what I selfishly wanted (though I wasn't surprised at all) . . . God's plans and ways are higher than my own. His thoughts are not my thoughts. I KNOW that God can and will use the next 4 years to uncover the things He needs to expose and to prepare the soil for a greater and better "crop". And I do believe that with Obama as President, many more people will be praying harder, longer and more often than they would have before . . . especially for the unborn (and the possible nomination(s) to the Supreme Court in the next 4 years, etc)! I'm all for more prayer!! :)

I really don't like or get into politics very often . . . and hadn't planned on posting about this . . . but ultimately I know that GOD is in control . . . no matter who thinks they are in control down here. :) My mandate (and yours) now is to pray for my leaders - to pray blessings upon them and that God's will will be done!

I need to go back and relisten to Kim's webcast as he was saying some things about giving a grain offering to allow the water to come, and digging ditches to hold the water that comes (from a place that you least expect). Once again . . . . here is something about giving our grain offerings back to God and God providing in a way we won't expect Him to! Hmmm . . . sounds familiar! :)

To encourage you all, in this time of transition (to a new president and new ruling party within Congress and the oval office) - that you will continue to look to the Lord first and foremost. That you will continue (or start) to pray for our leaders - no matter if they are Republicans, Democrats or Independents. Pray for them. Pray a blessing on them. Pray for Godly wisdom in their lives, thoughts and actions. Pray for salvation for those that do not know the Lord. Pray for their families. Do I need to go on? Just pray. And don't pray "your" agenda . . . but the Lord's. Let HIS will be done and HIS kingdom come!

God is good . . . . all the time!
All the time . . . God is good!

Give thanks in all situations! Yes - even today! :)

CBN Spiritual Gifts Seminars

I just wanted to let you all know about a little known secret . . . .

CBN (The Christian Broadcasting Network) has been doing an online Spiritual Gifts Seminar since this summer (2008). It started out just one night a week, but now is up to 3 nights each week (and hopefully more to come)! You can check it out live on Mondays and Tuesdays from CBN, and Thursdays from Toronto, Canada (and the Catch the Fire School of Ministry) at http://www.cbn.com/. You can view archives of the previous sessions as well. Click on the section in the middle that says "Spiritual Gifts" (webcasts).

Whether you watch the program live or the archived version - God is doing miraculous works in people's lives - in person at the events and online in people's own homes! God is awesome!

The wonderful aspect of watching it live, is the ability to interact with other people while it is going on - the people in the chat room as well as the hosts and guest speakers (through calling in, using skype, etc).

Whether you just want to know more about what "spiritual gifts" are, who has them, how to use them, or you want an avenue to use your gifts - or have someone use them on you (for healing, etc) - then this program is for you! I have been blessed on both ends - the receiving and the giving! For a mom who is stuck at home most nights with a quiver full of kids - it has been a blessing to be able to be used by God (and ministered to) from my own home and computer.

This past week, however, I was able to go to the CBN studio and was truly blessed - TWICE! Monday I was prayed over by Cindy Jacobs (she was right on!) and then Tuesday by Duncan Smith! God is awesome!! I am thankful that these servants of the Lord are being obedient to what God has called them to do!

But the question is . . . am I (are you) being obedient as well?? What blessings (healings, miracles, timely words from God, etc) are people missing out on because we are not being obedient? It's not about us . . . . it's about what God wants to do THROUGH us in the lives of others.

Think on that this week. Are you being a blessing to others? What has God told you (or that you feel you should) do that you are not doing? . . . . Step out in faith this week and DO it! I'll be doing the same here!

Praying on Wall Street - Grain, Wine & Oil

Bear with me as I walk through things (out loud . . . or in this case – in a blog) that I sense God saying to me and taking me through. I may be wrong at times – but my heart is right, and my desire is to know God intimately, to walk and talk with Him, to do His will for my life, to “say what He tells me to say”, and to see people (and a nation) changed for God’s glory and for their freedom!

Today I went to pray on Wall Street. I was planning on doing some sight-seeing in New York as I visited my sister for the weekend, but I could not shake the feeling that I was, instead, supposed to go pray on Wall Street. So I obeyed.

It was crazy down there. Tons of people, at least a dozen news vans and crews, and several police cars. There was this sense that everyone was waiting around to see what would happen that day. We had seen a week of record losses in the stock market, and people were saying TGIF – Thank God It’s Friday . . . because at least the stock market can’t go down for 2 days over the weekend! The market was crazy today – the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped over 700 points in just the first few minutes of the trading day – but somehow managed to recover to close down “only” down 128 points.

As I sat on the steps of the Federal building across from the New York Stock Exchange, I opened my Bible and felt led to read from Joel. I’ve heard many people talking about this being a Joel 2 time – about declaring a holy fast and calling a sacred assembly – to pray for our nation. It’s been awhile since I have read Joel – so I was curious as to what God had to say.

I was shocked to find what I did. I cried. My heart ached. It was as if God had written these words for today! It starts off in verse 2 saying “Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?”. That seems to be all I’ve been hearing on the news lately too. But what surprised me in Joel, was all the discussion about grain and drink offerings – the grain, wine and oil – as well as talk about the locust invasion (that’s another story regarding the dreams and visions I have had about locusts). I just love it when God starts to tie together things . . . . so randomly it seems – but really it’s not. :)

I am not going to write out the whole first 2 chapters of Joel (please go read them for yourself) – but these are the things that stood out to me.

Joel 1 – An Invasion of Locusts
Vs. 10 – “The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up, the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails.” (this is after the locusts have come and destroyed everything – “my great army that I sent among you” Joel 2:25)
Vs. 12b – “surely the joy of mankind is withered away”

A CALL TO REPENTANCE!
Vs 13 – A call to the priests and ministers to mourn – put on sackcloth “for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.”
Vs. 14 – “Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly, Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.”
Vs. 15 & 16 – “Alas for that day! It will come like destruction from the Almighty. Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes – joy and gladness from the house of our God?”
Vs 19 – “ . . . for fire has devoured the open pastures and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.”

Joel 2 – An Army of Locusts
Vs. 3 – “Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste – nothing escapes them” (the locusts) (*see previous prophecies about CA – San Fran – etc.)

REND YOUR HEART
Vs. 12 – 14 – “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing – grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God.”
Vs 15 & 16 – declare a holy fast and call a sacred assembly. . . .

THE LORD’S ANSWER
Vs. 18 – “Then the Lord will be jealous for his land and take pity on his people. The Lord will reply to them: ‘I am sending you grain, new wine and oil, enough to satisfy you fully. . .”
Vs. 24 - 26 – “Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten . . . my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God who has worked wonders for you . . . “


After reading over these 2 chapters in Joel, I began to pray. This is a summary of what the Lord and I talked about.

“God have mercy! I know you’ve been slow to anger. I know there needs to be a correction and cleansing. Protect your people. Withhold your wrath – let it not be as severe as it was going to be. Protect us Lord. Forgive our nation. Forgive our greed. Forgive our leaders. But bring repentance Lord! Prepare the soil of this land Lord for a mighty mover of God. Prepare the soil for new growth – for revival Lord!”

I saw a picture – The Lord is tilling the ground – a large field. It has good dirt in it but it has not been tilled in a long time. Weeds and other plants have grown there that do not belong. The Lord is tilling – uncovering hidden things beneath the surface. Hidden things that would do damage – release toxins into the soil. He’s uncovering them to get them out – to renew the soil and make it healthy. It will take awhile (?4-5 years) to till this land. But once He is done - fairly quickly (?within 6 months) the new plants/new growth will be in full bloom – HUGE – AMAZING! People will say – “Why did we not till the ground sooner? Had we known this is what it would produce – we would have never let the weeds grow. We would have let the Lord till it. What were we thinking?”

So the Lord has begun tilling. It doesn’t feel good. We will be shocked and surprised at what He uncovers. But be at peace! It is for good – not evil. It is time. Let the Lord till!

“Lord – thwart any plans of the enemy that are not part of your plans!”

“Keep the enemy out Lord!”

I then asked Him about the grain and wine pictures from the other day. “ Tell me more Lord.” I saw just a few specs of grain and a little wine this time.

“Because my people have not returned their grain and drink offerings – I am taking away their grain and wine. I have new oil to pour out – but can’t. My people are not ready – not ready to accept it. Get them ready!”

How?

“Tell them. Prepare them. Encourage them. Correct them. Say what I tell you to say - in doing so you will create holes in their hardened exteriors. These holes will cause them to become like sponges. THEN they will be able to soak up ALL the oil I have to pour out on them. Then they will be ready. They are not ready. But make them ready. Show them their need for these holes. They see it as damaging to who they are. I see it as vital for them to grow and be who I want them to be. Show them Lori.”

How do I show them?

“Be transparent. Show them your holes. Show them the oil you’ve been able to soak up because of those holes. Don’t hide your holes. Show them. Then they will see and know that I am God and that what you say is true.”

OK Lord. Just lead and guide me!

“The new wine and grain that I have will be worth the wait – worth the pain – worth the suffering. Hold onto that Lori. It IS worth it! Trust me. Hold onto that!”

Does this mean that I (and my family) will suffer?

“Hold onto that Lori. I will always be with you. NEVER will I leave! Keep following me and being obedient.”

I will Lord!

So . . . as I said before . . .bear with me as I walk this journey. Walk it with me! I guess I need to start praying about “how” and “what” I am to be more transparent about. ?? I know He will show me. Of course - just sharing this private conversation with God is a start. :)

I hope and pray that if you feel like your “exterior” is “hardened” – that you will allow God to speak into your life so powerfully that it will drill holes right to the core of your being! Once He has drilled to the core . . . to your heart . . . He can then continue the healing process by pouring in His oil . . . to soak deep into you – into the areas of your life that you thought you would never see again – much less anyone “go there”! God is not afraid of what is on the inside. He already knows. So let Him “drill”! Take it from me (a girl with many “holes”!) . . . it is worth it! You will never regret it!

And as for the wine and grain . . . . just be at peace and know that once God is done tilling this land - that the new wine, grain and oil will be better than before . . . IF we obey the Lord! So - obey Him . . . give Him your grain and drink offerings - even in these tough times . . . and be at peace knowing that He has all things under control! (But please don't stop praying for our nation . . . especially for repentance!)

God Loves You! . . . . yes . . . YOU!!

Oil, wine and grain

On Sunday, during worship at church, the Lord showed me a picture.



He was holding a wooden bowl filled with oil. He was holding it out for His people. The people had been reaching up and dipping their fingers in the oil, but He wanted to pour it out on them instead. He was ready to pour it out . . . but were the people ready? He said that the oil would never run out – it would never stop flowing as long as His people allowed Him to pour it out on them.

At one point I was praying over my children (frustrated because they were fighting with each other) – and I saw myself reach up and push on the back of the bottom of the bowl – to tip it forward and spill it out onto my children . . . onto my family. I WANT that oil Lord! Pour it out on me! Pour it out on my children! Don’t stop! Let that oil be used to light a fire in our lives . . . a fire that never ceases or is able to be quenched! Pour that oil Lord! We want your anointing oil upon our lives – to do great and might things in your name – to give you glory and to make you famous!

As I went to the word of God today to look up more about oil – I came across verse after verse that talked about oil, grain, and wine . . . all used in offerings onto the Lord. The Israelites did this to consecrate themselves and the “Tent of Meeting” unto the Lord so that God would meet with the Israelites and talk with them and consecrate the place with His glory. It reminded me of the vision yesterday about the wine and grain room. Was there more to the meaning of that room? What is God trying to say with these 2 visions – the oil and then the wine and grain?

Lord, help me to offer up my "oil and grain" as a “grain offering” and my "wine" as a “drink offering” unto you every day. I want to be consecrated for your glory and I want my household and house to be as well. Come meet with us and talk with us. I give you all I have. It’s yours. Come be with us and show your glory!

Exodus 29:40-42
"With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Sacrifice the other lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and its drink offering as in the morning—a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the LORD by fire.
"For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD. There I will meet you and speak to you;"


Leviticus 2 – The Grain offering
Notes in my Bible – It was the only bloodless offering, but it was to accompany the burnt offering, sin offering and fellowship offering. . . . The Hebrew word for grain offering can mean “present” or “gift” and is often used in that way (see Gen. 43:11 – notes say: “a gift” – a customary practice when approaching one’s superior, whether political, military or religious.). The sacred gifts expressed devotion to God. . . . . Olive oil is often mentioned in connection with grain and new wine as fresh products of the harvest (Dt 7:13 – “He will love you and bless you and increase your number. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land – your grain, new wine and oil – the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you.”) Used extensively in cooking, it was a suitable part of the worshiper’s gift.

God has not only poured out his new wine into us, and is not only wanting to pour His anointing oil on us, but He is wanting us to return our wine and grain offerings (which includes the oil in it) to Him as part of our worship - as a gift to Him - as a sign of our devotion and love to Him. Have I been giving those firstfruits back to Him? Not just my money/tithe (though I know that is included), but my talents, giftings, blessings, everything? Have you? What do you have to give back to Him as grain and drink offerings?

God was sad that his wine and grain room was empty. He loves to pour out His blessings . . . and He loves to receive your gifts . . . so that He can continue to bless you – to meet with you – to walk and talk with you . . . and to give you that wine of Elijah! Let us offer up an “aroma pleasing to the Lord”!

"When someone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering is to be of fine flour. He is to pour oil on it, put incense on it and take it to Aaron's sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the fine flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made to the LORD by fire.”

Elijah Wine

This morning in my prayertime God took me down a hallway to show me something. He opened up the 3rd door on the right. It was the "Wine and Grain" room. The wine racks were empty and there was no grain.

God said "I have poured out my wine on my people. They have drank it and used it, but did not multiply it to refill this rack. They used it for themselves, but not for what I designed it for."

When I asked him where the grain was, He said "my people have not brought it in. I am waiting to fill this room with grain, but no one is bringing it in." (I asked Him "No one?" . . . and I had the sense that there were other rooms that were full - but this room wasn't . . . and it was supposed to be).

I then saw one bottle of wine left on the rack. Under it was a label - it said "Elijah" on it. I asked Him what it was for. "It is for you. I want to pour out my 'Elijah' wine." I went to the Bible to read more about Elijah. I read the stories of Elijah (and Ahab and others) - of the great signs and wonders that God did through Elijah - how Elijah cried out to God for God to move - for these signs and wonders (raising a boy from the dead, setting the altar on fire, bringing rain, etc). THAT is what God is wanting for today - these days we are in. He wants to see us do great things - to do these signs and wonders and more! The people of this world need the Christians to be filled with this Elijah wine - to step out in faith and show the glory of God to bring people to repentance!

Look at the posting for today on The Call's Facedown 40 day fast! It's all about Elijah and Jezebel! I feel like God is wanting to pour out this Elijah wine to counteract and fight against the spirit of Jezebel that has seduced our nation for far too long. I could go on and on about it - but the article on The Call says alot. So does this article by the IHOP-Atlanta - it talks about both the spirit of Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6 - turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and vice versa) and the power of Elijah (the signs and wonders) being poured out in the last days.

Another prophecy/article that I received today in my email was from Elijah List - by Barbie Breathitt. I swear this woman is talking just to me and has been watching my life lately! :) God has perfect timing - doesn't He? :) Barbie also is talking about signs and wonders and asked God when we were going to see more of them. God said to her "Whenever you begin to do them"!

I encourage you all to keep praying . . . keep digging in deeper . . . in God's Word and in God's presence, love and power!

Visions of a Wall and of San Francisco

I feel that I need to share these visions. Recently God told me he was going to be expanding my visions - not just for my family, friends and church - but much larger . . . for this nation . . . and others as well. I wasn't expecting it to be so soon or like this. I am trying to be obedient in "saying what I (God) tell you to say". And I know that with this knowledge comes the responsibility to interceed! That's good! I can do that!! :) I encourage you to join me in intercession!

When typing out these visions - I knew nothing about San Francisco . . . nothing about previous prophecies or things going on there. Since writing this - I have watched God.tv, read Wendy Alec's prophecy about San Fran from June 2008 and read some other things on Elijah List. Here is another prophecy about the West Coast. And the full version of the SF prophecy and other ones.
I encourage all of you to pray for San Francisco . . . and California! God wants to bring revival to that state! Put on your armor and battle for the people in CA (and San Fran especially).

The Call is coming to California on November 1st (view the video promo here). They are calling for 40 days of prayer and fasting before the event (there's 26 days left). I encourage you do join in! "As California goes . . . so goes the nation".

2 nights ago I was reading a prophecy (several of them) on the Elijah List, and was overcome by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The prophecies talked of economic hardship in America and of a terrorist attack that would put our country in 40 days of mourning. As I was reading these – I saw a big wall crumble (like Jericho). I went to go write down what I saw – but ended up having to deal with my oldest son being up and on the computer playing games when he wasn’t supposed to. So – this morning, I asked God to show me again what it is He wanted to show me.

There’s a big wall that crumbles. I don’t see that anything hits it or anything – it just crumbles (like Jericho). There is a person (maybe a few – but definitely this one person) that is standing on the top of the wall as it collapses. He is up there to kind of “ride” it out – to not get crushed as the wall falls. It works. He doesn’t get hurt at all.

Then water comes. Kind of like the tide coming in. It slowly comes in and covers the wall up completely. Again – the person/people who were on top of the wall are careful to not drown – they float with the water as it comes in. They are not trying to get away from it – just trying to survive and “flow” with it. They succeed. The water recedes . . . but then comes back again. It does this over and over. Each time it does, more of the rubble from the wall is washed away until finally it is all gone. The man/person is now standing on dry, smooth, clean ground. He takes a seed out of his pocket and puts it in the ground. It instantly shoots up a plant that is tall – kind of like a huge beanstalk. He puts more seeds into the ground – and they all do the same thing – shoot straight up – very high (?to heaven? The clouds?) – it’s as if these stalks are going to be the framework for rebuilding . . . not a wall . . .but a building this time. It is green, alive, and healthy. It reaches to the sky – tall and strong.

I felt like all this happened in NYC . . . Wall = Wall street?

The vision then switches San Francisco. A very bright and blinding light shines out of the sky and then a huge meteor/fire ball comes out of the sky and heads straight toward the city. It comes from the West (over the ocean) – slams into the city and then gouges out a huge cavern as it travels East along the ground through California. Again – water comes in and fills the cavern/hole. But it’s not like a tide. This water stays. It becomes a lake. . . . calm and peaceful – encouraging new growth, new life – with the animals that come around it and live in it. It is a beautiful place.

“A time is coming upon this land where you will see my hands at work. I cannot stay my hand of protection on this land while the people continue to live in sin as they do. I have new things I want to do here. New growth . . . better growth . . . .to create a better land. What I want is a nation at peace. A nation that enjoys the beauty that I created. . . .the simpler things. I created a garden of Eden once. I will create one again. Not on this earth, but a new earth. But until that time, I do still desire good things for my people. However, my people have become greedy, selfish, have lost their focus. I want to restore order and peace. But to do this I must tear some things down. Stay on top of what I am about to destroy. Do not get caught up in it. Stay up high and ride out the collapse. Do not be afraid of the water that comes to cleanse, to clean up the mess. Just float. Be at peace. Relax. Then you won’t get swept away or drowned. Float, relax and be at peace. It’s not a strong wave that is coming, but a gentle tide. It washes away the mess with power, but appears and feels gentle as it does. Stay on top. Just float. You will be amazed at the process and at how the ground will look once the water is gone. I will leave dry ground to walk on – to build on. Use the seeds that I have already given you to rebuild – something new, like you have never seen before. This is what I have for you. Do not be afraid. Ride out the collapse. Stay on top. Float in the tide and relax. You will then be able to survive and experience all the beauty I have for you when it’s done. The land will be yours. . . . yours to plant in. . . . . yours to inhabit. . . . to enjoy. So be prepared to plant and see the marvelous things that I will do with those seeds. You have never seen anything like it or have ever imagined it could happen. The stalks will create your abode – your garden – your protection – your sanctuary – a place for us to walk and talk and live – a good life. Keep your seeds close. Keep them dry – in your pocket. Do not sow them now. Just wait.”

“As for San Francisco - My judgment is coming. I have had enough of the sin, the vile mocking of who I am and what I created. I cannot stand to watch it any longer. I am sending down my retribution to a people that have mocked me, that have spit in my face, that have turned their backs on who I am and what I have created. I will tolerate it no more. The fire that comes will cause destruction. Complete destruction – burning everything it touches and creating a wide cavern in its place. I won’t leave it like that – all burned, charred and lifeless. The water will come – from the west (the ocean? – but it is fresh water) – and fill in the hole that was created. This water will bring new life – will encourage new growth around it – will bring new animals to the water – to drink and receive refreshment to sustain life. The green plants will expand out from the lake – the life will go out from there and expand more and more. People will hear about this beautiful lake and want to see it for themselves (I see people coming from the Northwest especially). They will want to come and take some of the water back home with them – to prove to their families that there really is new life there – to start their own patch of new growth where they live. This water can do that. Wherever it goes, it will start creating new life – new growth. So encourage people to come. To taste. To take the water back with them. To start their own little lakes of new life and new growth.
I know the destruction will be scary. It won’t be fun. But look forward to what I will do afterwards! You will be amazed! It will take time, but it will be beautiful.”
